Karen worked in a number of management positions for over 15 years before she established the Human Resources Consultancy, Signature Associates, in 2003. Since then, Karen has been Managing Director and Senior Consultant for Signature, which provides HR training and consultancy support for Executives and Senior Managers. In this role, Karen has worked on projects in several countries including China, Singapore, the Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Germany, Switzerland and, of course, the UK. Karen has worked closely with MGH Educonsult for some years in order to establish and promote tailor made and off the peg corporate and executive training programmes to a wider, global audience.

Karen’s work has brought her into contact with a large network of Executives and Higher Education professionals and, as a result, she has taught on a number of MBA and related programmes, including those at Hull, Durham and Westminster Universities. She is now registered for a Doctorate in one of her areas of specialism, comparative negotiating behaviour between UK managers and those from Gulf countries.

Karen has been an active Member of the professional body, the Chartered Management Institute for 20 years and was for three years the Chair of the Humberside Branch of this body. Karen has been a keen supporter of her local Hospice and has undertaken a number of activities in this regard including chairing one of their Fund-raising committees and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds in 2011.
